Rumbalara Legal Service

About this service

This project is a partnership between GVCLC and the Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative. It aims to make it easier for members of the local Aboriginal community to get legal help in a place where they feel safe and culturally supported.

Lawyers from GVCLC are based at the Rumbalara site in Moroopna throughout the week, providing free legal advice and support to community members in a range of legal areas.

Our lawyers also provide legal education and training to Rumbalara staff and community members, to help them identify legal issues, understand legal processes and their rights, and know where to get legal help when they need it.

The Rumbalara Project is funded by the Victorian Government Department of Justice and Community Safety and Victoria Legal Aid.

Who is this service for?
