In 2012, LCCLC’s Principal Lawyer Peter Nobel undertook a Clayton Utz Foundation Fellowship conducting research into Advocacy Health Alliances (also known as Health Justice Partnerships or ‘HJPs’). The research report called for a targeted effort to build a HJP model and culture in Australia in response to interrelated legal and health needs in the community. This is a foundational report in the birth of the HJP movement in Australia and laid the foundation for a pilot HJP in Bendigo.
